An apple a day keeps the doctor away.”

The connection between the apple fruit and good health is familiar to us all, as symbolised in the proverb above. In Greek Mythology, the apple was associated with “Apollo”, the God of Medicine and Healing. Moreover, the apple was known to be one of the most favourable remedies prescribed by Hippocrates, the father of Medicine.

Apple trees are able to grow almost anywhere in the world. Together, Southeast Asia and Israel are lands associated with the origins of the apple tree. The apple has sustained its place amongst all other fruits as an effortless universal symbol of healthy living for everyone around the world. In this vein, the choice of the Apple fruit has been thoughtfully considered so as to create an iconic representation for the Connexion at Farrer Park project.
